I'm Carley, an independent artist who brings shoes to life with custom artwork. My custom shoe journey began when I was 17 customizing my own shoes for fun. From there I always had aspirations to turn my creative little hobby into something more but I didn't know what that would mean for me as an artist. I recognized art as not only a powerful tool for communication, but as a glimpse into the artist themself. I knew that I'd be putting my work out there in the open for criticism and that my fragile dreams could shatter should I fail. But then I realized that not pursuing the things I cherished meant the exact same thing as failure. Over the coarse of a year I slowly began to address my fears and self-limiting beliefs, turning my passion into a thriving business through hard work, creativity and fearlessness. My art is my heart—it’s how I wish to inspire others to push past their doubts and embrace their potential. As a wife and mom to my two amazing children, I’m grateful that my work lets me pursue my highest calling, motherhood, while creating unique, wearable designs from home.
